Do you wear contacts and want to wear make up? Are you worried that your makeup will ruin your lenses or are you scared to getting some in your eye? Getting makeup in your eye is annoying, but it can be extremely annoying when you add contacts into the equation. The makeup will actually stick your lenses and then you are unable to wash it out, but you have to clean your lenses. There are many tips that you will need to follow then it comes to place your makeup on and not annoying your contacts as you do it.
First, you should place your contacts in and then apply your makeup. You will need to wash your hands really good before you touch your contacts and afterwards. You don't want to transfer any of the dirt or oil that is often naturally found on your hands. You should also be away of the type of makeup that you are applying.
You should not apply makeup that does not claim to be non allergenic. This way if it does get in your eye, it won't be that bad. You may want to also purchase only cream eye shadows. When you apply the creams, you are less likely to get them in your eye, however, you will want to think about you apply the eye shadow.
If you apply the powder and then have someone blow the excess away, you can avoid getting it in your eye. Also, try to purchase makeup that is a water-based product. This way if it does get in your eye, it won't burn that much, plus oils can be very harmful to your contact lenses.
There are many women who prefer to use powdered makeup. It tends to be cheaper and they last longer. When applying it you should keep your eye closed and then brush the excess off. You may also need someone to blow the excess off if you have a dark color.
When it comes to applying your eyeliner, you have to be careful. Many people will poke themselves in the eye with the pencil and it will ruin the lens. To apply your eyeliner you should place it above your eye lashes on the upper lid. For the bottom lid, you need to apply your makeup below the lashes so that you don't have any danger of poking yourself in the eye and damaging your contacts.
To take off your make up, you will want to take your contacts out first and then proceed to carefully remove your makeup.
